Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend... nothing simple about it. I am up and ready for the stores to open so I can go and get everything I need for a BBQ on Monday. Lulu is turning 8 tomorrow - had her birthday party yesterday - it was so much fun. We walked to town with three of her girlfriends, had nails done, got Silly Bandz, went to lunch where her best-friend-who-is-a-boy met us, had a lovely lunch and some ice- cream and came back to our house to play. After all the girls were gone, we went and got her ears pierced. Now she thinks she is all that with diamonds in her ears. Overall the greatest day of her (almost) 8-year-old life. Today we are going shopping for a new bike - cause birthdays are a BIG deal in our house and she desperately needs a new bike - her first ever - all her others have been hand-me-downs from her brother and sister. Life is good when your 8.
