Cara:Wash those cares down the drain...

“There must be quite a few things a hot bath won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them.” ~Sylvia Plath
Hmmm. It should be so easy. Mike was out to play a rousing game of kickball with the neighborhood kids, came in itchy (it’s getting buggy now) and a little wired. He was tired earlier on (before kickball) and I know he will just get more crabby and tired way before it was really time for bed. So I suggested a “tub”. So with boats, wrestling guys and lit candles (he was feeling like a “romantic” bath), he sits in the tub happy, playing and washing off the day.
Sometimes taking a bath does make you feel better. But as turmoil swirls around me lately, I wonder what I can do to help fix it. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s a hot bath.
I believe in Karma. But does it come in its own time? Do all things happen for a reason? Or do we create our end results? Kids get hurt; get sick. No one wants to create that situation. Marriages go sour. They definitely don’t start out that way. We go after our dreams…then they are taken away. These things happen to good people…so where’s the Karma? Does what goes around come around when it’s good and dam ready? I don’t know.
Maybe it’s just that sometimes it’s hard to wait. Or maybe the reason is staring us in the face and we don’t want to see it? Icky adult stuff again. It’s just easier being a little boy washing the day off in a bubble bath.

What better way to start the day....looking at that great face! "Life is what we make. Always has been, always will be," said Grandma Moses. Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control; other times we make our own path and then have to walk it. Either way, it's our life and we need to make the best even if we are saying how did I end up on this road!! Bubbles can help, however!
