Jenn: Grown-Ups need Play dates Too!

Yesterday afternoon I got a text from a friend. It simply said haven't seen you in a while, having a few people over, why don't you stop by. Hubby was off - we had nothing going on so a last minute invite was perfect. Left the kids home -we were only going a few blocks West, and walked over to our friends house. It was a beautiful evening - nice breeze. This wasn't a party, it was more like a playdate. A few people sitting around over cocktails and cheese and crackers listening to music. Most of the people we didn't know but felt like old friends by the end of the night. We bought a bottle of wine, a six-pack of beer ... an inexpensive night out - that turned into more fun than going to a bar or out dinner. So thanks to our hostess for thowing something together...it was a perfect way to start our weekend!
