Jenn: Simple Saturday

Each Saturday I write a "simple Saturday" post. Today that is not so easy. My day will go as planned. Farmers market this morning, some gardening and then a annual beach party with hubbies college buddies.
Today is September 11th. As a New Yorker, as an American, this is a hard day. I have heard so many first hand stories of lives lost, loves lost, hope lost and of course, my family has its own 9/11 story. So today I will think about all those who lost something on 9/11. Not just loved ones, but a small piece of our hearts that was taken away in the name of terrorism.
Today is a day to be grateful for all we have and for our country and those who fight to protect our rights. To be grateful that nothing as heinous as 9/11 has happened to our country since and to pray it never will again. To celebrate our loved ones and our country and to Remember... to never forget.
