Grateful Sunday

I am grateful
that a new week is beginning
for
fifty degree temperatures
when
I got something I wanted
for my kids
who make me laugh
for the roof over my head
is going to get some color out front today (pansies!)
that next week
brings less drama

I am grateful
to see my daffodils spring up
along my front walkway
for
chatty Sunday morning walks with my pal
when
I remembered you can't tell the wind which way to blow but you can adjust the sails
for my kids
who always want to chat on my bed
at midnight when they get home
at midnight when they get home
for the roof over my head
that is getting pansies today too!
(again great minds...)
(again great minds...)
that next week
just goes about it's business uneventful
