Grateful Sunday

I'm grateful
that Hurricane Irene came and went here
without too much harm
for
blue-er than blue September skies
when
we could have an unexpected family dinner out
for the roof over my head
is in one piece; holding on to the last weekends of summer
for my kids
for my kids
who missed each other - makes me happy
that the next week
school goes off without a hitch and we find our groove again
