Jenn: Summer Sun

Yesterday was a preview of great summer days to come. Everyone slept in, no pressure to go anywhere, just throw on some shorts and hang out. Headed down to the beach with Lu and Mae... Sam was off on his bike with friends. The kids are at an age now where I don't have to be constantly looking around to see where they are. Just check in once in awhile - that's all I ask. It was so nice - we hung out at the beach for a few hours - it was packed - great to see all the kids running around - playing on the playground - sticking their toes in the water. Then back to reality of the mad rush - ballet, baseball and dinner.
More of the same today - baseball game and household chores...maybe a few beers on the back porch - nice and easy... that's what I am looking forward to - no rushing, no where to be. Just sunshine and summertime.
