Grateful Sunday

I am grateful
for quiet Sunday breakfasts by the pool
when
I sat with my old neighbors, in my old neighborhood remembering when times were easy
for my kids
who have so many people that love them
for the roof over my head
that needs some TLC this week
that next week
I get some time home to get some things done around here

to have a day of nothing to do

home-grown tomatoes
when
I found what I was looking for
for my kids
who have a quiet week except the boy who is in China
for the roof over my head
that has been cleaned and polished this weekend

brings nothing but sunshine
